C&H Construction, Inc. firmly believes that “when you give of yourself, you give of your heart”. As a community-oriented business, both Charlie and Jill are actively involved in many organizations and projects. They are members of the Greater Derry Chamber of Commerce and have served on the Board of Directors, with Charlie serving as Past President in 2001. C&H Construction, Inc. was chosen 2002 Business of the Year by the Chamber as well.

    Charlie is past President of the Derry Village Rotary Club, voted Rotarian of the Year in 1995 and received the highest Rotary Award, The Paul Harris Fellow Award, in 2001. In 2002, he was honored by the Boy Scouts of America and given the Good Scout Award for outstanding service to the community. Charlie is a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Echo Lodge #61 (following in his grandfather’s footsteps) and serves as a trustee. He has also served as an advisor to the Building Trades Program at Pinkerton Academy since 1991.

Jill is usually the first voice you’ll hear when you give C&H a call. She is the “photographer” for C&H Construction, Inc. Jill has won numerous awards for her photography and is also a published poet and writer. She was published in NH To Do Magazine in 2002 and 2007.

The couple has been married since 1973 and have one incredible son, Christopher and a beautiful daughter-in-law, Misty. Both Charlie and Jill are avid collectors in very different venues. Charlie collects clocks and Jill’s choice is wizards.

They were blessed to have two amazing pets, Cosmo and Indy who brought such joy to their lives. Both babies passed in 2007 but certainly left their mark on many people’s hearts.

In November of 2007, Charlie and Jill adopted a new pet, a black labrador retriever named Saida. She was rescued from a kill shelter in Arkansas and subsequently made her way to her new home in New Hampshire. Right now, Saida collects “treats”.
