Dear Charlie,
What can I say? You weren’t the least expensive of the contractor from whom I sought bids for the renovation of our home. Still, I felt comfortable with the estimates you made and I was fearful that a less competent contractor might have kited the price of the work after that fact, due to changes necessitated by poor initial planning. You were methodical and thorough in your planning and your statement of work, so I decided to trust you. You and your crew are very knowledgeable and very hard-working. In addition, you were all very professional, personable and polite. The crew was there every week day (except for one holiday) at a consistent time each morning. Every effort was made by them to ensure the minimum impact on our neighborhood, on us and on our cat. Since the work entailed new wide plan flooring on both living floors, minimum impact took on a very important meaning for us. As a result, we were able to live in the house with only slight discomfort while the work went on. When we had trouble deciding on courses of action as the job progressed, you were there to help us to review our options. Your suggestions and alternatives help us to make several decisions that resulted in better choices than we would have otherwise made. In the end, our home is even better than we had expected it to be. You weren’t the lowest bidder, but you and your crew were worth twice the cost. Thank you for a beautiful job!
